Fall 2024 Hours and Train and Carousel Rides
The Bergen County Zoo is open daily, including the carousel and train, weather permitting, from 10:00 am-4:30 pm, and general admission rates apply.
Zoo Boo and Other Special Events at the Bergen County Zoo
Zoo Boo is one of Bergen County’s most popular family fun events! Zoo Boo 2024 will be happening on October 18th, 19th and 20th. To purchase tickets or for more details about Zoo Boo, you’ll find all you need to know at this link!

Should you get hungry or thirsty during your trip to the Zoo, carts offering food and drink are conveniently located at the entry plaza and other locations throughout the park. Additional food services are available during the summer.

Restrooms are located in the Farmyard and inside the Education Discovery Center.

Tickets for Train Ride and Carousel

Tickets for both the train and carousel are available for just $2.00 per person, per ride, making it an affordable and fun experience for all ages. You can purchase tickets any time at the zoo’s main ticket booth, with both cash and card options accepted.

If you need more of the zoo experience, consider visiting the Bronx Zoo, located less than 20 miles from central Bergen County. One of our favorite Bronx Zoo attractions is a program called Wild Attractions.
Wild Attractions at the Bronx Zoo provides an opportunity for animal lovers to see the Zoo from behind the scenes. This includes up-close live encounters with Zoo staff and animals.
