Located within Superdome Sports at 21-05 Morlot Avenue in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, Montclair Pickleball’s summer clinics provide an ideal environment for kids to learn and grow their pickleball skills. Summer clinics are offered in five-week sessions or you can pick your own day. Clinics are structured to ensure children have a blast while learning from high-level coaches who are passionate about sharing their love for the game.
Beginner Clinics for Young Players
For children aged 6-13, beginner clinics are perfect for first-timers or those just starting to explore pickleball. Coaches focus on introducing foundational skills such as basic shots, including dinks, volleys, serves, returns, and drives, as well as teaching essential rules, scoring, and strategies.
Summer Beginner Clinics Schedule:
- Ages 6-8: Fridays, July 3-July 31, and August 7-September 4, from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm
- Ages 9-13: Mondays, June 29-July 27, and August 3-August 31, from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm
- Ages 9-13: Thursdays, July 2-July 30, and August 6-September 3, from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm
Kids will engage in structured drills, competitive games, and activities that develop hand-eye coordination and general athleticism. Coaches emphasize consistency, teamwork, and good sportsmanship, helping children build confidence both on and off the court.
Intermediate Clinics for Growing Players
Young players who have already mastered the basics can advance their skills with kids intermediate clinics. Intermediate clinics are designed to refine and improve shots, including drops, resets, and serves, as well as to enhance overall gameplay strategies. Players will learn proper shot selection, court positioning, and footwork, becoming more competitive and confident athletes.

- Intermediate Clinics: Tuesdays, June 30-July 28, and August 4-September 1, from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm
Participants in the intermediate program can expect to play complete matches and gain an understanding of the tactical aspects of pickleball, which makes the sport exciting and rewarding. Like the beginner clinics, these sessions are carefully designed to emphasize sportsmanship and build athletic skill in a supportive, enjoyable environment.
