Kids Fall Pickleball Clinics in Fair Lawn: September 7-November 15
Pickleball is an exciting sport that combines fitness and fun. Fall clinics at Montclair Pickleball in Fair Lawn are designed for children who are eager to pick up a new sport or enhance their pickleball skills. It’s a fantastic way for kids to engage in a social and healthy activity that promotes teamwork and physical well-being. The clinics are run by coaches who are fun, experienced, and high-level players.

- Beginner Clinics Ages 6-8: Fridays, September 11-November 13, from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm
- Beginner Clinics Ages 9-13: Mondays, September 7-November 9, from 4:30 pm-5:30 pm

Autumn Musical Story Time at Bergen Town Center: Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 am
Bring the little ones to a fun-filled Musical Story Time at Bergen Town Center on Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 am.
Led by teaching artist Sam Colon from the bergenPAC Performing Arts School, this interactive program brings nursery rhymes to life through music, movement, and hands-on activities. Children can sing along to the guitar and ukulele, play instruments, dance, move with colorful scarves, beat on drums, and join in parachute play.
The event takes place in Center Court, outside the Children’s Play Area at Bergen Town Center, Route 4 East and Forest Avenue in Paramus, New Jersey. Find more information here.
Back to School Fun Day on the Farm in Mahwah: Saturday, September 12, 12:00 pm-3:00 pm
Bergen County Horse Rescue invites you to Back to School Fun Day on the Farm! Meet the horses and enjoy refreshments, raffles, face painting, a kids’ tricky tray, games, and family fun!
The event takes place at Bergen County Horse Rescue, 350 Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah on Saturday, September 12, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The rain date is September 13. Event proceeds go directly to the care of the Rescue’s horses. Tickets are $15 (children under 3 free), and can be purchased online or at the door. Tractors and Tall Tales at Abma’s Farm: Friday, September 18 at 10:00 am and 11:00 am
Bring the kids to Abma’s for a fun morning on the farm at Tractors and Tall Tales on September 18.
The event features stories from Abma’s resident storyteller Kathy, followed by a snack and a special visit from one of the farm’s working tractors. Children will have the chance to see the tractor up close, making this a fun outing for young tractor fans.

Nature Story Time at Tenafly Nature Center: Saturday, September 19, at 10:00 am
With the Nature Story Time program at Tenafly Nature Center, families with children ages 3-7 fun and educational nature-themed stories and a visit from one of Tenafly Nature Center’s Animal Ambassadors. Learn all about the visiting animal and how they came to the Tenafly Nature Center. New stories and animals are introduced monthly. Animal Ambassadors can include snakes, frogs, turtles, owls, or even a hawk!

The Halloween Light Show takes families on a drive through 32 acres of colorful Halloween light displays and seasonal scenes, creating a fun nighttime experience for all ages.
After the drive, stop by the Demarest Farms market for farm-fresh treats and seasonal goodies.

Plim Plim Live Musical Energy at bergenPAC: Sunday, October 4, at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm
Plim Plim Live: Musical Energy brings a colorful, interactive musical adventure to the Bergen Performing Arts Center stage, with singing, dancing, games, and plenty of opportunities for kids and parents to join the fun.
The story begins when Fiona and Adri discover that the energy needed for Plim Plim’s big concert has disappeared. Plim Plim and his friends need the audience’s help to bring it back, turning the show into a lively family adventure filled with music, movement, and participation.
As the story unfolds, children are encouraged to move their bodies, work together, share with friends, rest, and practice healthy habits. These simple activities become part of the show’s positive message about where real energy comes from. The show features beloved songs from the Plim Plim universe, colorful visuals, lively choreography, and interactive moments throughout the performance.

Open Cockpit Day at NJ Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro: Saturday, October 11, 10:30 am-4:00 pm
This popular event at the NJ Aviation Hall of Fame gives visitors the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a very rare Lockheed Bushmaster plane, a U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter, and a M*A*S*H Bell 47 helicopter made famous during the Korean War; and see the cabin and cockpit of the world’s only surviving Martin 202A Airliner.
The event also includes displays featuring a Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter, an
OV-1A Mohawk Observation/Attack Aircraft, a General Aviation Trainer (G.A.T-1) and a
Glider.
Young astronauts won’t want to miss the working display of the International Space Station (ISS) with uniforms and items used by many astronauts like Buzz Aldrin and Scott and Mark Kelly, just to name a few.

KPop Demon Hunters Event at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale: October 14 and October 21, 4:00 pm-5:00 pm
KPop Demon Hunters fans can join Rumi, Mira and Zoey for a special event at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale. Kids can sing and dance along during a live performance, take part in games and bubbles, and visit the farm’s petting zoo.
Families should bring a blanket to sit on while watching the show. Tickets are $30 per child and include admission for one adult.

Come out for an afternoon of free family fun at Fort Lee’s annual Fall-O-Ween Spooktacular.
Presented by the Fort Lee Business District Alliance, the event takes place on Saturday, October 24 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Hudson Lights Park. Families are invited to come in costume and enjoy face painters, balloon twisters, a magician, a DJ, candy, and more.

Celebrate the season at Halloween Haunted Harvest in Ridgewood, presented by the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce.
This family-friendly event will feature live music, games, treats, a haunted graveyard, a pumpkin patch, a kids parade, a pet parade, and plenty of festive fun.
