Lefkes is making its return to Bergen County with the grand opening of Lefkes at The Modern on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 200 Park Avenue in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
The opening marks a new chapter for two well-known Bergen County dining establishments. Lefkes, previously located in Englewood Cliffs, is bringing its popular Greek dining concept to Fort Lee, taking over the space formerly occupied by Ventanas Restaurant & Lounge.
Lefkes owner Georgia Dumas has partnered with restaurateur Alexander Duran to introduce the new restaurant, combining Lefkes’ established culinary identity with the upscale setting and vibrant atmosphere of The Modern.
Former Ventanas Restaurant Transformed into Lefkes at The Modern
The former Ventanas space has undergone a Mediterranean-inspired transformation, featuring white accents, new murals, updated lighting, furniture, and decorative details designed to evoke the Greek islands.
The upscale, two-story restaurant also features an outdoor patio with landscaped gardens, providing an inviting setting for lunch, dinner, and special occasions.
Although the Ventanas name and dining concept are being retired, familiar elements of the former restaurant will remain. According to the announcement, much of the Ventanas team will continue with Lefkes, carrying forward the hospitality and service guests have come to know.
Modern Greek Cuisine, Sushi, and Late-Night Entertainment
Lefkes at The Modern will feature the contemporary Greek cuisine that made its previous Bergen County location popular, combining traditional Mediterranean flavors with modern culinary influences.
The menu will also include the restaurant’s signature sushi selections, offering guests a variety of options for lunch, dinner, and special occasions.
Beyond dining, Lefkes plans to bring its distinctive nightlife experience to Fort Lee, with DJs, entertainment, and after-dark parties inspired by the energy of Mykonos.
Wine dinners, special programming, and private events will also be part of the restaurant’s offerings. The space can accommodate corporate gatherings, family celebrations, and other special occasions.
Lefkes is also an internationally recognized restaurant brand, with three locations in Greece, including Athens and Santorini.
A New Chapter for Two Bergen County Restaurants
The opening brings together two established names in Bergen County’s restaurant scene.
Georgia Dumas, owner of Lefkes, and Alexander Duran, the restaurateur behind Ventanas, are partnering to introduce the Lefkes concept at The Modern.

Duran also expressed enthusiasm about the new restaurant.

For longtime Ventanas guests, the change marks the end of one familiar dining experience and the beginning of another at the same Fort Lee address.
