More than 75 artists and craftspeople will showcase a wide variety of handcrafted items on the historic site’s tree-shaded front lawn, including pottery, jewelry, artwork, stained glass, candles, soaps, wood décor, fiber arts, ceramics, birdhouses, charcuterie boards, bonsai, and much more. Festival foods will also be available. Admission is $5 and includes a tour of the museum. The event is held rain or shine.

Enjoy an evening of live music under the summer sky at Englewood Public Library’s Annual Jazz Under the Stars Summer Concert Series. The acclaimed outdoor series is held on Thursday evenings on the library’s front plaza through August 20. Performances run from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm without intermission.

The concerts are free and open to the public, and no registration is required. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. In the event of rain, concerts will be rescheduled at the end of the series.

Flying Toward the Sun at Penguin Rep Theatre: August 14-September 6

Flying Toward the Sun makes its world premiere at Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, New York, from August 14 through September 6, 2026. This original new musical features music and lyrics by Neil Berg (The Sabbath Girl) and a book and lyrics by Bill Nabel.

Set in 2015, the story follows Gary Campbell on his first day as an immigration official, where he is faced with life-changing decisions as he hears the hopes, struggles, and dreams of people seeking new lives in the United States. Filled with heart, hope, and powerful music, Flying Toward the Sun explores the human stories behind immigration and the choices that can shape countless futures.

Craft Show & Antique Corner in Westwood: Sunday, August 23, 10:00 am-5:00 pm

Bergen County Craft and Antique Shows

Shop more than 125 exhibitors at the annual Craft Show & Antique Corner at Veterans Park in Westwood on Sunday, August 23, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This outdoor event features a wide variety of handcrafted items, antiques, gifts, specialty foods, and more. Admission is free.

The craft show will feature artisans and makers offering pottery, floral arrangements, fall home décor, handcrafted jewelry, apparel, fiber arts, woodworking, stained glass, garden décor, artwork, photography, train station prints, whimsical chainsaw carvings, pet and children’s items, crochet creations, mixed media art, candles, soaps, dried herb mixes, olive oils, baked goods, and much more.

The event also features an Antique Corner, with vendors offering antique and costume jewelry, pottery, prints, linens, silver, coins, elegant glass, porcelain, ephemera, vintage toys, and other collectibles. Appraiser Jon Felz will be available from 11:00 am-4:00 pm to provide antique and collectible appraisals for $5 per item.

The Gift Corner will feature handbags, Italian women’s clothing, jewelry, home décor, children’s items, denim jackets, and other unique gifts. A variety of festival foods, including Italian ice, homemade pretzels, pickles, desserts, and other favorites, will also be available for purchase.

Sponsored by the Westwood Heritage Society and organized by P.J.’s Promotions, the event will be held rain or shine at Veterans Park, Broadway and Third Avenue in Westwood. Find more information at www.pjspromotions.com.

Get ready for one of New Jersey’s biggest celebrations of Latin food and culture when the Saborland Food Festival comes to American Dream from August 28 through August 30, 2026. This three-day festival features more than 100 food vendors serving a wide variety of Latin flavors, along with live music, DJ entertainment, rides, games, shopping from merchandise vendors, and plenty of photo opportunities.
