With one $10 ticket, visitors can tour 12 museums and historic homes across Northwest Bergen County, including The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus, the Mahwah Museum, the John Fell House in Allendale, the Hopper-Goetschius House in Upper Saddle River, Schoolhouse Museum in Ridgewood, the Van Allen House in Oakland, the Old Stone House in Ramsey, the Zabriskie House in Wyckoff, Museum at the Station Glen Rock, Waldwick Museum, Waldwick Signal Tower, and the Wyckoff Barbershop Museum.
The event offers a chance to explore places you may have passed countless times but never entered. It’s a unique opportunity to learn more about local history and see what’s inside these longtime Bergen County landmarks.

Pickle Palooza in Teaneck: Saturday, April 25, 12:00 pm-7:00 pm

A new food-focused event is making its debut in Bergen County this spring. Pickle Palooza, billed as New Jersey’s first pickle festival, will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 12:00 pm-7:00 pm at the Teaneck Armory.
The event will feature more than a dozen pickle vendors offering everything from classic dill pickles to more creative variations. In addition to pickle-themed foods, attendees can expect a mix of traditional festival favorites, along with a beer garden serving pickle-inspired drinks.
Live music and entertainment will run throughout the day, along with a family-friendly area featuring games and activities as well as local artisans and craft vendors. Come dressed as a pickle for a chance to be crowned Pickle Palooza’s Pickle King or Queen.

Historic New Bridge Landing is hosting Chwame Gischuch: Under the Shad Moon featuring live demonstrations, exhibits, and hands-on experiences. The event takes place on Sunday, April 26, 1:00 pm-4:30 pm.
Primitive technologist Steve Adams will present talks on foraging and the material culture of prehistory, with demonstrations including stone tool use, flint knapping, and the working of plant fibers.
Revolutionary War artifacts as well as Native American artifacts from the society’s extensive collection will be on display in the historic 1752 Steuben House.
Additional highlights include a broom-making demonstration at the Westervelt-Thomas Barn and tours of the Campbell-Christie House. Stop by the Jersey Dutch out-kitchen, where historical interpreters will prepare traditional dishes including planked fish and Three Sisters soup, showcasing Indigenous ingredients such as corn, squash, and beans.
Browse the gift shop, and enjoy light refreshments including donuts, cornbread, and lemonade will be available for purchase.
