A new furniture and design showroom in downtown Westwood is specializing in original mid-century modern furnishings, vintage home décor and furniture restoration.
King-Hudson, located at 37 Westwood Avenue, opened in July 2026 under the direction of owner Michelle King-Hudson, a longtime collector and restoration specialist with 30 years of experience in the field.
The showroom features original mid-century furniture, lighting and decorative accessories. Its opening collection included pieces by noted designers Mies van der Rohe, Milo Baughman, Edward Wormley and Adrian Pearsall, along with vintage lighting, handmade quilts, Murano glass and pottery.
For anyone who enjoys vintage shops, mid-century design or browsing unusual home furnishings, King-Hudson offers something different in downtown Westwood. You don’t have to be shopping for furniture to appreciate the collection of vintage lighting, Murano glass, pottery and other decorative pieces.
A Background in Art and Restoration
King-Hudson’s interest in vintage furnishings began during childhood visits to auctions with her parents. She later studied art history and painting and developed a career restoring furniture, older homes and architectural details.
Her new Westwood business combines retail sales with furniture restoration, interior design consultations, consignment and staging services for homes, events and productions.
The showroom also houses a collection of books and research materials covering mid-century design, art history and furniture restoration. Educational workshops on furniture care, design and related subjects are also among the business’s offerings.
King-Hudson is located at 37 Westwood Avenue in Westwood, New Jersey.
