Hermitage Holiday Events 2019: The Hermitage, located at 335 North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey is hosting a series of festive events this holiday season. Bring the family out and celebrate the holidays at the Hermitage!
The Hermitage Annual Tree Lighting, complete with carolers and hot chocolate, will take place on Sunday, December 8th at 4:00 pm.
A production of A Christmas Carol will be performed by the members of First Flight Theatre Company on Friday, December 13th at 7:30 pm and Saturday, December 14th at 4:00 pm. This enchanting adaptation of the holiday ghost story is sure to delight and inspire audiences of all ages. Light refreshments will be served.
Santa’s Workshop will be held on Sunday, December 15th from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Visit with Santa, enjoy festive holiday tales and songs, tour the historic Hermitage decorated for Christmas, and enjoy a scavenger hunt!
Candlelight Tours will take place on Saturday, November 30th at
6:00 pm and 8:00 pm and on Sunday, December 22nd at 4:00 pm and
6:00 pm. Step back in time and experience how the Victorians celebrated the holiday season and the history behind many traditions still enjoyed today. These special docent-led tours take visitors through both floors of the fully decorated historic home and are accompanied by a flute duo playing traditional period music. The evening concludes with cider and light Victorian fare prepared by pastry chef Kim Hendrickson. There is a limit of 20 people per tour.
