NJBG Wildflower Walks: Autumn is just around the corner, and the native wildflowers at the New Jersey Botanical Garden (NJBG) are among the first to sense the change of season. As summer winds down, the last bloomers are joined by colorful fall fruits, nuts and berries in NJBG’s natural landscape. Come explore them all at NJBG’s Fall Wildflower Walks at the New Jersey State Botanical Garden. The walks will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10:00 am and Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
NJBG’s wildflower garden is a woodland haven for native plants, many of which show off their seeds, nuts, fruits and berries in the fall. Join NJBG wildflower expert Darlene Nowak to explore the late summer landscape in walks that will cover several different terrains and the plants that inhabit them. Wear comfortable shoes and meet at the Carriage House Visitor Center. Rain cancels.
NJBG is located on Morris Road in Ringwood, New Jersey. For an event schedule, membership brochure, directions or more information, call 973-962-9534 or visit www.njbg.org.
