The Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center (WAMMC) officially opened its 21st Mansion in May designer showhouse with a ribbon cutting ceremony at Wildfair, a stunning estate located in Chester Township, New Jersey.
Widely regarded as the premier designer showhouse in the New Jersey–New York area, Mansion in May is the Women’s Association’s signature fundraising event. Each year, it draws thousands of visitors—more than 22,000 at the last showing.

“We are grateful to the Women’s Association for choosing the new Proton Therapy Center for their Mansion in May fundraising event at Wildfair,” said Trish O’Keefe, PhD, RN, President, Morristown Medical Center. “Through their generous support, we are able to provide the latest advancement in cancer treatments which will be truly life-changing for countless people for decades to come.”
“Wildfair has a long history and was breathtaking even before its transformation over the last several months,” said Mary Courtemanche, Co-Chair, Mansion in May. “Visitors to Mansion in May will be able to experience the idyllic setting while enjoying the design inspirations of more than 50 interior and landscape designers.”
“The visitor’s day doesn’t end after the tour of this historic, beautifully redesigned mansion – they can look forward to strolling through the beautifully landscaped spaces, assisted by an audio tour,” said Barbara Ruane, Co-Chair, Mansion in May. “And, there is a great café and many fun and unique boutiques to round out their visit.”
Wildfair, the setting for this year’s Mansion in May, boasts a history that stretches back more than two centuries. Once home to a bustling farm that included a gristmill, sawmill, and millstone workshop, the property underwent a major transformation in 1934 under the direction of Elizabeth and Harry Bowly Hollins III. The couple hired Philadelphia-based architects Willing, Sims & Talbutt to help bring their vision of an elegant country estate to life.
The original stone farmhouse remained at the heart of the project, while new fieldstone additions expanded the home into the estate now known as Wildfair. In the mid-1990s, architect Hiland Hall Turner and Eberle Builders, Inc. completed further renovations that shaped Wildfair into the expansive, elegant property it is today.
Mansion in May will welcome visitors daily from May 1 through May 31, 2025. General admission and private tour tickets can be purchased online. To learn more about this year’s event or to reserve your tickets, visit www.mansioninmay.org.
