Hey 80’s fans! Start teasing up that big hair because your favorite new wave and pop 80’s radio hits are back with The Lost 80’s Live Tour at State Theatre New Jersey on September 20, 2018. State Theatre New Jersey is located about an hour from Bergen County in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch some of the most recognizable acts from the 80’s including A Flock of Seagulls, Wang Chung, Bow Wow Wow, Farrington and Mann, Original Vocalists of “When in Rome UK,” Naked Eyes, and Animotion.
Lost 80’s Live is the longest running retro tour where nostalgic fans can see a number of 80’s favorites performing live on one stage, on one epic night. The experience is timeless and has been described by fans nationwide as a “greatest hits show” where every song played could legitimately be on a number of greatest hits’ albums. Fans won’t want to miss what many believe is the “best of the 80’s.”
This flashback concert features six awesome bands including A Flock of Seagulls led by its original front man Mike Score. A Flock of Seagulls are best known for their hit “I Ran” and the music video that accompanies it. Other A Flock of Seagulls hits include “The More You Live, the More You Love,” “Space Age Love Song,” and “Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You).”
Next in the line-up is Wang Chung, who became a household name in 1986 with the release of their smash hit, “Everybody Have Fun Tonight.” Wang Chung’s other hits include “Dance Hall Days,” which peaked at number 16 on America’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, and “Don’t Let Go.” Wang Chung also provided the score to the 1985 cult film To Live and Die in L.A.
The Lost 80’s concert also features new wave English band Bow Wow Wow. Known for their success with massive hits such as “I Want Candy,” “Do U Wanna Hold Me?,” “Go Wild in the Country,” and “C30, C60, C90, Go!,” Bow Wow Wow rocks the stage with original lead singer Annabella Lwin.
Farrington and Mann have sold over 1.8 million records and over 25 years later their hit “The Promise” is known worldwide as a certified hit. “The Promise” was #1 on the dance chart for seven weeks, along with their other hits “Heaven Knows,” “Wide, Wide Sea,” and “Child’s Play” that also reached the top 10.
Naked Eyes are known for their hits “Always Something There to Remind Me,” which immediately exploded into the Top 10 followed by other hits like “Promises Promises” and “When The Lights Go Out.” The back to back to back hits resulted in massive U.S. Radio airplay and an almost constant presence on MTV.
Finally, rounding out the Lost 80’s live line-up is Animotion. Animotion’s album Living on Lust was voted one of the top 10 albums of the year in 1982. Their biggest hit is “Obsession.”
