For the past 13 years, Joan’s Joy has held a yard sale in Hillsdale during the month of May to raise funds for local charities and awareness for child safety. Since the sale cannot take place this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, Joan’s Joy is asking people to come together in a different way while continuing this community spirit. Visit joanjoy.org to make a donation and enjoy some warm memories from past yard sales through photos and videos. A Joan’s Joy t-shirt will be given to supporters while supplies last.
Proceeds from the “sale” will go to YCS Holley Center in Hackensack. YCS now has more challenges than ever in caring for the at-risk children at the Holley Center. YCS is in need of computers to utilize telehealth services to deal with COVID-19 and to provide the children with necessary medical and mental health care.
Items previously gathered for this year’s sale will be donated to charities.
