Jesus Christ Superstar in Leonia: May 8-May 24
The Players Guild of Leonia will close out its 2025-2026 mainstage season with a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s legendary rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. The show takes place at the Civil War Drill Hall Theatre, 30 Grand Avenue in Leonia, from May 8 through May 24. Show times are 8:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays.
Don’t miss the groundbreaking rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, the iconic musical that began as a chart-topping concept album in 1970, blending rock, funk, gospel and orchestral drama. Inspired by the Gospels, the show explores the emotional tension and personal conflicts between Jesus and his disciples during the final days of his life, seen largely through the perspective of Judas Iscariot. Featuring unforgettable songs including I Don’t Know How to Love Him, Heaven on Their Minds, King Herod’s Song, and the show-stopping title track Jesus Christ Superstar, this powerful production remains as compelling today as ever.

My Lord, What A Night at Penguin Rep Theatre: May 15-June 7
A powerful story comes to life at Penguin Rep Theatre as My Lord, What A Night opens May 15 and runs through June 7.
My Lord, What A Night explores the unexpected friendship between legendary singer Marian Anderson and Albert Einstein, sparked after an act of discrimination leads to a remarkable connection rooted in music, humanity, and justice.
With a cast of four portraying real historical figures—each with a unique perspective on how to effect change—this moving production looks at courage, equality, and the different ways people can stand up for what’s right.

Paramus Food Truck Festival: Sunday, June 7, 11:00 am-7:00 pm
The food trucks are returning to Paramus Park on Sunday, June 7, for a full day of food, live music, family activities, and outdoor fun.
The family-friendly festival will feature 20 gourmet food trucks serving a wide variety of eats from around New Jersey, along with music from DJ Ray Colon and a beer, sangria, and margarita garden for adults.
Kids’ activities will include pony rides, a petting zoo, inflatables, a bounce house and slide, a ninja warrior course, bungee trampoline, Knockerball, face painting, sand art, and more. Vendors will also be on-site throughout the event.
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, friends, family, and even dogs for the outdoor festival. Organizers are also asking guests to bring a non-perishable canned or boxed item to support the Paramus Food Pantry.

Crafts in the Park in Westwood: Sunday, June 7, 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Looking for a unique shopping day in Bergen County? The annual Crafts in the Park Show returns to Veterans Park in Westwood on Sunday, June 7, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, bringing together more than 125 artists and craft exhibitors from across four states.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the park at Broadway and 3rd Avenue, the longtime community event will feature a wide variety of handmade items and artisan creations, including pottery, jewelry, garden décor, stained glass, woodworking, paintings, photography, prints, candles, soaps, charcuterie boards, birdhouses, apparel, tie-dye fashions, children’s gifts, floral items, resin art, bonsai, ceramics and much more.
Visitors can also enjoy a selection of festival favorites and sweet treats throughout the day, including Italian ice, homemade pretzels, kettle corn, pickles, desserts, and other specialty foods.

Freedom Fest & Fireworks: Saturday, June 13, 2:00 pm-9:00 pm
Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at the Franklin Lakes Freedom Fest & Fireworks community event on Saturday, June 13, with an afternoon and evening packed with food trucks, live music, family activities, artisan vendors, and a fireworks finale.
The free festival runs from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will also feature a Colonial Village and Revolutionary War reenactors, along with games and activities for kids.
Fireworks are scheduled to begin after sunset around 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm.

Winefest is back at the Meadowlands Racetrack.
Come sip, sample and an enjoy an evening featuring dozens of wine producers from around the world, educational tastings and pairings, live horse racing, music from DJ ALX, and more. Guests can sample wines from major brands including Santa Margherita, Oyster Bay, Concha Y Toro, and many others while enjoying the fun atmosphere at the track.
VIP admission includes early entry at 4:00 pm, exclusive tastings, special food access, and an extra hour of sampling. General admission begins at 5:00 pm. The event runs rain or shine and is open to guests 21 and older.

Mahwah-Ramsey Pride Celebration: Friday, June 26, 5:30 pm-8:30 pm
Ramsey and Mahwah are joining together this year for an expanded community Pride celebration at Ramapo College on June 26, beginning at 5:30 pm.
The free event will feature music, drag performers, community resources, vendors, family-friendly activities, food, and more in a celebration of inclusion, support, and community pride.
Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together through music, laughter, and shared celebration during a time when support and solidarity matter more than ever.
Sponsors include Rockland Electric Company, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, The Valley Hospital, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, Garden State Equality, and several local businesses and organizations.
