Fort Lee BDA Fills Town with Holiday Spirit on Santa Saturday

Fort Lee NJ News: On December ​8​th​, the Business District Alliance of Fort Lee (BDA) hosted its annual Santa Saturday at The Richard & Catherine Nest Adult Activity Center, located at 319 Main Street in Fort Lee. From 1:00 pm-3:00 pm, over 250 children came to sit on Santa’s lap for a free photo and secretly tell him what they wished to find under their tree on Christmas morning. Families spent the afternoon singing holiday classics along with the carolers and filled up on hot chocolate, cookies and candy canes.

“Every year we have a bigger turnout than the last, and this year we had over 400 people,” said Stuart Koperweis, Executive Director of the Fort Lee BDA. “This event is about more than just visiting with Santa. The carolers, the winter refreshments and the excitement really bring out the holiday cheer in everyone.” Saturday, December ​8​th also kicked off the retail promotion, “12 Days of Fort Lee.” From now until December 24​th​, shoppers receive an extra 20% on gift cards purchased at over 30 participating businesses throughout Fort Lee’s Town Center. For details and the list of participating businesses, visit​. 12 Days of Fort Lee will feature live holiday music and carolers from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm on Saturday, December 22nd​. “In Fort Lee, Christmas is not just a day, it’s the whole month of December,” said Romina Luppino Starace, President of the BDA. “We want to stretch the holiday spirit and enjoyment as long as we can to really bring the community together.”
