8th Annual “Jazz Under the Stars” Begins September 3rd at Englewood Library

The Englewood Public Library will present its 8th annual jazz concert series “Jazz Under the Stars” beginning on Thursday, September 3rd. This popular series will be held every Thursday evening at 7:30 pm during September on the library’s front lawn and plaza. The Englewood Public Library is located at 31 Engle Street. Registration is required for these concerts with no exceptions. Register here.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there is a maximum of 50 guests allowed. Guests must be Englewood Library cardholders, unless the maximum is not reached. Bring your own chair or blanket. Masks and social distancing required.

The “Jazz Under the Stars” series attracts some of the finest internationally known jazz artists. The popularity of the series speaks to the top-notch musicianship on display at each performance.

  • September 3rd – Calvin Hill Group
  • September 10th – Sharp Radway
  • September 17th – Bill Saxton
  • September 24th – Chris Beck

Englewood resident and world-renowned bassist Calvin Hill is the series coordinator. Hill has recorded and performed for decades with many of the luminaries of jazz, including Max Roach, McCoy Tyner, Pharaoh Sanders, George Coleman and Betty Carter.
