Each year on the Sunday before Veterans Day, the Bergen County Historical Society (BCHS) hosts a wreath laying ceremony at a local war memorial or military site to honor those who have served in the armed forces and to raise the public’s awareness of these memorials throughout the county. This year, the 75th anniversary of the end of World War ll, the Historical Society will hold the ceremony at the WWll Memorial in Maywood located
along the Grant Avenue side of Memorial Park (near the corner of Grant
Avenue & Fairmont).
The public is invited to join BCHS members on Sunday, November 8th at 1:00 pm for this brief wreath laying ceremony and to share the names of their ancestors and friends who served during World War ll.
Attendees are required to wear face masks and maintain social distancing. This event is subject to change. Visit BergenCountyHistory.org for more information and updates.
