Bergen County Family Fun! The Bergen County Horse Rescue (BCHR), 350 Ramapo Valley Road in Mahwah, will host a Trot into Spring event on Saturday, April 13th from noon-4:00 pm. Rain date is Sunday, April 14th.

This Bergen County family fun event will feature three age-appropriate Easter egg hunts (taking place at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm), photos-ops with the Easter Bunny, face painting, games, visits with BCHR rescues, and food trucks to grab lunch and snacks. The cost for this event is $20 per family, $5 per individual.

“Spring at the farm is truly magical,” says Erin Giannios, BCHR founder. “This is a perfect opportunity to have fun at the farm and support our mission of rescuing and rehabilitating these majestic animals.”

Visitors can also pick up chic equine-themed gifts, seasonally-decorated horseshoes worn by BCHR rescues, as well as BCHR logo sweatshirts, t-shirts and hats at Hoof Prints Gift Shop, which will be open on April 13th from noon-4:00 pm.

The Bergen County Horse Rescue at 350 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, New Jersey, is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization whose mission is caring for horses mind, body and soul. Currently the BCHR has 20 horses that have been rescued from abusive or neglectful environments and rehabilitated, by volunteers, to good emotional and physical health.
