Tiny Tots Program at Lorrimer Sanctuary in Franklin Lakes: March 26-May 28
Bring the little ones for a fun-filled kids’ nature program at Lorrimer Sanctuary. Perfect for children aged 18 months to 3 years and their grownup, the program includes storytelling, outdoor adventures, learning, and fun. Tiny Tots runs on Thursdays, March 26 through May 28, from 10:00 am-10:45 pm and features a new theme each week.

Pickleball is an exciting sport that combines fitness and fun. The clinics at Montclair Pickleball in Fair Lawn are designed for children who are eager to pick up a new sport or enhance their pickleball skills. It’s a fantastic way for kids to engage in a social and healthy activity that promotes teamwork and physical well-being. The clinics are run by coaches who are fun, experienced, and high-level players.
Spring pickleball clinics for kids ages 6-13 are offered in 10-week sessions, April 6 through June 11. Sign up now!

Spring Story Time at Bergen Town Center: Saturday, April 11, at 11:00 am
Get ready to rock and have some fun at Spring Story Time at Bergen Town Center. Join teaching artist Sam Colon from the bergenPAC Performing Arts School for a musical story time featuring nursery rhymes and interactive activities.
The program includes sing-alongs with guitar and ukulele, instrument play, movement with scarves, drumming, dancing, and a parachute activity designed for young children.

Open Cockpit Day at NJ Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro: Saturday, April 18, 10:30 am-4:00 pm
This popular event at the NJ Aviation Hall of Fame gives visitors the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of a very rare Lockheed Bushmaster plane, a U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter, and a M*A*S*H Bell 47 helicopter made famous during the Korean War; and see the cabin and cockpit of the world’s only surviving Martin 202A Airliner.
The event also includes displays featuring a Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter, an
OV-1A Mohawk Observation/Attack Aircraft, a General Aviation Trainer (G.A.T-1) and a
Glider.
Young astronauts won’t want to miss the working display of the International Space Station (ISS) with uniforms and items used by many astronauts like Buzz Aldrin and Scott and Mark Kelly, just to name a few.
And before you leave, be sure to sit inside the Aviation Hall of Fame’s Official Airport Rescue Firefighter Truck!

Earth Day Pollinator Planting at Abma’s Farm: Saturday, April 18, 10:00 am-2:00 pm
Create your own pollinator planter at this hands-on workshop for kids at Abma’s Farm. The activity is a simple way to add color to your porch, patio, or garden while supporting pollinators.
Children will plant a pollinator-friendly plant and decorate a reusable pot to take home. The workshop allows for plenty of creativity, with materials provided to personalize each planter.

Ridgewood Y Healthy Kids Day: Saturday, April 18, 11:00 am-1:00 pm
Healthy Kids Day, the YMCA’s national initiative and largest single-day event dedicated to the youth development and the health and well-being of kids and families, is returning to the Ridgewood Y.
For more than 30 years, the Ridgewood Y has hosted this free, community-wide celebration to kick off the warmer months. The event encourages children to stay active, engaged, and healthy both physically and mentally throughout the summer and beyond.
Families are invited to take part in a kid-friendly festival featuring a variety of activities, including face painting, games and physical activities, story time with the Ridgewood Library, touch-a-truck with the Ridgewood Police and Fire Departments, Camp Bernie critter meet and greet, seed planting, sensory tables, crafts, and information on youth programs, summer camp, and swim lessons.

Fabricating for Fairies Program at Tenafly Nature Center: Sunday, April 19, at 1:00 pm
Join a Tenafly Nature Center (TNC) environmental educator for a guided walk along the TNC Fairy Trail, followed by a hands-on activity where participants will design and build their own fairy house to take home.
Participants should bring a base for their fairy house. Natural materials will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring additional decorative items to personalize their creation.
Those interested can also display their fairy houses at the upcoming Fireflies and Faeries Festival.
This program is designed for adults and families with children ages 4 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The program will take place both indoors and outdoors, with covered space available in case of inclement weather.

Join the Barrymore Film Center for a screening of Free Willy (1995) at the Barrymore Film Center. Enjoy this classic family film on the big screen at one of the most talked-about new Bergen County entertainment venues we’ve seen in a long time. In this coming-of-age story, a boy learns that a beloved killer whale is set to be killed by aquarium owners and risks everything to set it free.
The Center also boasts a fabulous museum with fascinating exhibits updated periodically. Remember, Fort Lee is the birthplace of the film industry in the United States.
