Keep the kids active this winter with these indoor pickleball clinics! Pickleball is an exciting sport that combines fitness and fun. The clinics at Montclair Pickleball in Fair Lawn are designed for children who are eager to pick up a new sport or enhance their pickleball skills. It’s a fantastic way for kids to engage in a social and healthy activity that promotes teamwork and physical well-being. The clinics are run by coaches who are fun, experienced, and high-level players.
Winter pickleball clinics for kids ages 9-13 are offered in 10-week sessions. Sign up now!

A Sweet Valentine’s Tradition at L’Arte in Ramsey: February 7-14
L’Arte Bakery is continuing a Valentine’s tradition that celebrates kids, creativity, and baked treats. Inspired by customs from parts of Europe, children would visit local bakeries on Valentine’s Day to share a handmade card, poem, or song. In return, the child would receive a special treat from the baker.
L’Arte has brought this tradition back in a kid-friendly way. Children who bring in a Valentine to L’Arte from Saturday, February 7, through Saturday, February 14, are welcomed with a bakery treat.
L’Arte looks forward to welcoming children and parents throughout the week and sharing a little Valentine’s cheer, one baked treat at a time.

From Sap to Syrup at Tenafly Nature Center: Sunday, February 15, 11:30 am and 1:00 pm
Find out how sap becomes syrup and which local trees can be tapped for their own unique flavors at the Sap to Syrup event at Tenafly Nature Center.
This hands-on, family-friendly program takes participants outdoors to learn how sap flows through trees, how it’s collected, and how it’s turned into syrup. You’ll learn to identify local tree species and practice tapping with real tools starting with familiar maple trees before exploring other tap-worthy trees. You’ll also compare how sap from different trees varies in taste, sweetness, and seasonal flow.

Looking for something fun and educational for kids during winter break? The Mini Zoo Camp at the Bergen County Zoo, designed for kids ages 6-8, offers young animal lovers a fun and engaging way to learn about animals while school is out.
Mini Zoo Camp takes place on February 16 and 17, from 9:00 am-1:00 pm with flexible options to attend one day or sign up for both sessions.

The Bergen Town Center is hosting a Candy Twisted Balloon Show that you won’t want to miss. The lively, interactive performance blends comedy, magic, and balloon artistry, with plenty of laughs and opportunities for kids to take part in the show.

Lil’ Luck Planting DIY For Kids at Abma’s Farm: Thursday, March 12
Join Abma’s Farm for a hands-on kids’ activity centered around planting a lucky shamrock clover for St. Patrick’s Day. Children will create their own potted clover plant to take home, using a green terracotta pot with a drainage hole and easy-to-follow, personalized planting instructions. Each participant will also receive a shamrock-themed card, making the plant a fun keepsake or gift and a St. Patrick’s ay donut!
