 Fort Lee Restaurant Week: September 14-September 27

Fort Lee Restaurant Week returns September 14 through September 27, with two weeks of dining specials at restaurants throughout Fort Lee’s Town Center.

Organized by the Business District Alliance of Fort Lee (BDA), the annual event features participating restaurants offering special menus, promotions, and limited-time dining offers.

Whether you prefer to dine indoors, outdoors, take out, or delivery, Fort Lee offers plenty of options year-round. During Restaurant Week, diners can take advantage of a special opportunity to Savour the Flavour at participating Fort Lee restaurants.

With Fort Lee’s wide range of restaurants and cuisines, Restaurant Week is a chance to try somewhere new, revisit a local favorite, or enjoy a special meal with family and friends.

The Producers at Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell: September 19-October 10

Bergen County Players opens its 94th season with Mel Brooks’ The Producers, running September 19 through October 10, at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell.

Based on Brooks’ classic 1967 film, The Producers follows struggling Broadway producer Max Bialystock and his nervous accountant, Leo Bloom, who hatch a scheme to make money by producing what they hope will be the biggest flop in theatrical history.

Performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. The Sunday, September 20 performance begins at 1:00 pm.

In Plain Sight at Penguin Rep Theatre: September 25-October 18

In Plain Sight makes its world premiere at Penguin Rep Theatre in Stony Point, New York, closing out the company’s 2026 season. Blending wit, humor, family drama and emotional twists, the play brings past, present and future together as one family confronts long-held secrets and a changing world. Performances run Friday, September 25 through Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The story centers on Elliot and Alan, a couple preparing to marry after 11 years together. But as the wedding approaches, long-buried secrets and painful choices from the past begin to resurface, forcing them to confront whether those choices are compatible with the lives they’ve built today.

27th Annual Leonia Oktoberfest: Saturday, September 26, 3:00 pm-10:00 pm

Celebrate Oktoberfest in Leonia with live music, beer, dancing, entertainment, food, and family fun on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Wood Park.

The annual event will feature live music, crafts, face painting, Dolly the Clown, and a Beer Stemming Competition. New this year, guests can also enjoy a variety of food trucks and vendor craft tables featuring handmade items, unique finds, and more.

Oktoberfest is presented by the Rotary Club of the Palisades, with proceeds supporting the organization’s charitable programs. These include the Weekend Snack Pack Program, which provides food to children in Leonia, Edgewater, and Palisades Park, as well as the Rotary’s Haiti Project, which helps provide neonatal equipment for premature infants at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in Milot, Haiti.

Illumination 250 Celebration in Hackensack: Saturday, October 3, 10:00 am-9:30 pm

Don’t miss this full day of free arts, entertainment, and interactive experiences at locations throughout Downtown Hackensack including Anderson Street Park, Atlantic Street Park, Main Street, the Hackensack Performing Arts Center (HACPAC) and The Historic Green.

The festival celebrating America’s 250th anniversary will feature giant puppets, live music, cultural performances, interactive art, family activities, food trucks, vendors, complimentary food samples, a Revolutionary War-inspired audio adventure and a large-scale light installation.

Harvestfest Fair in Westwood: Sunday, October 4, 10:00 am-5:00 pm

The Harvestfest Fair returns to Veterans Park at Broadway and Third Avenue in Westwood on Sunday, October 4, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The fall event will feature 125 exhibitors from three states offering arts and crafts, antiques, collectibles, gifts, and seasonal items. Shoppers can browse jewelry, stained glass, photography, pottery, apparel and accessories, home décor, art, candles, ceramics, baked goods, olive oils, holiday items, pet and children’s items, charcuterie boards, floral art, and more.

An antique and collectible area will offer estate & costume jewelry, ephemera, bric-a-brac, silver, pottery, glassware, primitives and other vintage finds.

The fair also features festival food, pretzels, pickles, desserts, Italian ice, and kettle corn.

Wayne PAL Antique and Collectibles Show: Sunday, October 4, 9:00 am-2:30 pm

The Wayne PAL Antique and Collectibles Show returns for the season on Sunday, October 4, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The event features more than 150 exhibitors selling antiques, vintage items, memorabilia, collectibles, jewelry, toys, artwork, vinyl records, sports cards, and more, as well as a full-service food counter serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Behind the SCREAM: David Arquette Live Following 30th Anniversary Screening at bergenPAC: Friday, October 9, at 7:00 pm

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of SCREAM with a special screening of the iconic horror film, followed by a live conversation and audience Q&A with David Arquette, who played Dewey Riley in the franchise. The event takes place on Friday, October 9, 7:00 pm at Bergen Performing Arts Center.

After the film, Arquette will take the stage for a moderated discussion about his experience making SCREAM, the character of Dewey Riley, memorable moments from the series, and the lasting impact the film has had on his career and the horror genre.

Fans will also have the chance to submit questions during the Q&A and hear stories directly from one of the movie’s original stars.

Behind the SCREAM offers fans a chance to revisit a horror classic on the big screen and then hear firsthand from one of the actors who helped make it a lasting part of pop culture.

Bogota 5K Road Run and Walk: Saturday, October 10, at 8:00 am

The Bogota 5K Road Run & Walk returns on Saturday, October 10, bringing runners, walkers, families, and neighbors together for a fall morning in town.

The event begins at Feigel Field and includes a 5K road course through Bogota, along with a 1-mile track walk and kiddie quarter mile. Enjoy the event at your own pace, whether you are running for a personal best or simply enjoying a walk with friends and family.

The 5K Run and Walk begins at 8:00 am, followed by the Track Mile at 9:30 am and the Kiddie Quarter Mile at 10:00 am.

Fall Harvest Festival of Farm Life in the 1800s at Garretson Forge & Farm in Fair Lawn: Sunday, October 11, 10:00 am-3:00 pm

Step back into the 19th century at the Fall Harvest Festival of Farm Life in the 1800s, taking place Sunday, October 11, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Garretson Forge and Farm.

This annual living history festival brings Civil War-era Dutch farm life to life with hands-on activities, demonstrations, historic interpretation, and plenty for families to see and do. Visitors can watch traditional farm-to-table food preparation and preservation demonstrations, tour the historic homestead with costumed docents, and learn how everyday life looked and felt more than 150 years ago.

Festival activities include a visit to the schoolhouse to see how reading and math were taught in the 1800s, tours of the colonial garden with a Master Gardener, conversations with Civil War reenactors about a soldier’s life, and special activities for children.

Visitors can also browse Garretson-grown produce and plants, along with jams, hot peppers, herbs, hardneck garlic, handcrafted items, and local honey.

Get ready for a day of fall family fun in historic Nyack, New York at the Nyack Famous Street Fair. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors from four states with arts & crafts, new retail items, home decor, unique gifts, and more!

The fair also features a wide variety of food and drinks. Choices include the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck, Thai cuisine, empanadas, sausage and peppers, fried fish, Jamaican and Greek specialties, French and American fare, and the popular NY Soda Jerks truck serving old-fashioned egg creams and more. Nyack’s outdoor cafés will also be offering event-day specials. There will also be music at the local gazebo. Joshua Bell with Opening Performance by the Elisabeth Morrow School Choir at bergenPAC: Tuesday, November 3, at 8:00 pm

Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell takes the stage at Bergen Performing Arts Center for an evening of classical music, with a special opening performance by the Elisabeth Morrow School choir.

One of the most acclaimed violinists of his generation, Bell has spent nearly four decades performing with leading orchestras around the world. His career includes appearances as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and conductor, and he serves as Music Director of London’s Academy of St Martin in the Fields.

Bell is a six-time Grammy nominee and Grammy Award winner whose honors include Musical America’s “Instrumentalist of the Year,” the Avery Fisher Prize and an honorary CBE from Britain.
