Fair Lawn Library Teen Space Grand Opening is April 9th

Fair Lawn Library Event

Fair Lawn Library Event: The Maurice M. Pine Free Public Library of Fair Lawn is celebrating the grand opening of its new Teen Space on Tuesday, April 8th from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm. Stop by to see this newly-completed space, celebrate National Library Week and enjoy some refreshments.

Fair Lawn teens were given the opportunity to suggest names for the new space and were able to vote for their favorite.  Young adult librarian Elizabeth Portelli ran an online contest open to teen residents of Fair Lawn. Sara Manikam received the most votes for her entry, Teentastic Reads. The mural featuring the name of the space was designed by Frankie DiMitri, art teacher at the Henry B. Milnes School.

The new space features updated furniture, USB charging stations, and a cozy booth which was made possible by a donation from the Fair Lawn Rotary.  Shelving has been updated and expanded to include new display spaces.
