All levels are welcome—just bring your mat and let the relaxation begin!

Yoga for the Soul is held on Saturdays beginning March 8, and running through May 10 and takes place on the rooftop, 5th level parking garage, at Bergen Town Center, Route 4 East and Forest Avenue in Paramus, New Jersey. Find more information here.

Meet Yoga Instructor Kirsten Lane

Kirsten Lane’s journey with yoga began while she was pursuing a career as a professional ballet dancer. She found that yoga and meditation not only enhanced her strength and flexibility but also helped alleviate the stress and anxiety that came with the demands of dance and daily life.

Her passion for the mind-body-spirit connection led her to train under renowned instructors Alan Finger and Jean Koerner at ISHTA Yoga, where she earned her 500-hour teaching certification. Rooted in the Sanskrit meaning of “individualized” or “personalized,” the ISHTA approach aligns with Kirsten’s philosophy—adapting yoga to fit each student’s unique needs.

With 18 years of teaching experience, Kirsten’s classes blend gentle, breath-centered flows with a focus on alignment, creating a safe and supportive space for all levels. She encourages students to modify movements based on their own abilities—whether they seek a more restorative experience or a greater challenge.

Kirsten believes that even just a few minutes of yoga each day can transform well-being, and she’s excited to share her love of the practice with the Bergen Town Center community!
