Bring the family to celebrate fall at the Bergen County Historical Society’s Harvest Homecoming on Sunday, October 20th, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
This family fun event features:
- Tours of 18th-century Jersey-Dutch sandstone houses, including the state’s historic 1752 Steuben House
- New exhibits from the society’s extensive collection, including Revolutionary War artifacts
- Broom making and corn shelling demonstrations.
- Outdoor baking of 18th century autumn favorites
- Scarecrow making
- Pumpkin picking and decorating
- Apple tasting
- Visits with the on site blacksmith
The gift shop will be open, and donuts, hot cider, and other fall refreshments will be available for purchase in the tavern.
