Paramus Autism Cycling Event: The tenth annual Go the Distance for Autism Bike Event will be held on Sunday, June 2nd at Bergen Community College, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, New Jersey. The event is a collaborative effort by four northern New Jersey schools for learners with autism – Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy and REED Academy.

The event is for all levels of cycling ability and provides a safe and family friendly atmosphere where individuals with autism can participate as equally as those without. With four scenic and fully supported routes to choose from – 3, 10, 25 and 50 miles – you’re sure to find a distance that’s right for you.

After completing your ride, all participants celebrate at an amazing Family Fun Festival with food, music, games, inflatables, activities and more.W

New Jersey has the highest rates of Autism in the country. In the US, the rate of autism is 1 in 59 children, while in New Jersey we experience a staggering 1 in 34 rate.

The funds raised by participants in Go The Distance for Autism provide direct support for, and changes the lives of, individuals with autism and their families right here in the Garden State.

Go the Distance for Autism is a unique event that bands four organizations together to raise funds for a common mission – to provide educational and treatment programs for children and adults with autism. Alpine Learning GroupThe EPIC SchoolGarden Academy, and REED Academy are working together to change the future for those who struggle with autism, spread much needed awareness, and directly impact the lives of children and their families living with autism every day. All four programs are located in Northern New Jersey and all monies raised from the Go the Distance for Autism ride support educational and treatment programs for children and adults with autism.
