The Garden Club of Harrington Park will host a Zoom meeting featuring master gardener Arnie Friedman on Thursday, October 1st, at 7:30 pm.
Arnie Friedman, former New York Botanical Garden instructor and landscape designer with certificates in design and horticulture from the New York Botanical Garden, will present “Gardener to Garden Designer”, a survey of the history of garden design and how any gardener can transform a collection of plants into a landscape painting.
Arnie owns a small landscape design and construction company, Landscapes by Design, LLC. His design services encompass entire landscapes with stonework, water features, and gardens to small intimate plantings, and solving issues like excess storm water, old out of control gardens and intimate fire pits and seating walls.
Additionally, Arnie enjoys teaching, lecturing and writing articles on design, sustainability issues and water design and management. Arnie is president of the Association of Landscape Designers, New York Chapter, a member of the Upper Saddle River Planning Board and past president of the Bergen County Master Gardeners.
