I’m Not Old. But I’ll Take the Discount! 33 Ways to Save in Bergen County and Beyond

Bergen County Senior Discounts

Senior discounts on restaurants, shopping, movies, museums, transportation and more—with links to offers and local locations.

Last updated: October 25, 2026

I’m not old. But if saving 10 or 15 percent means showing my driver’s license, I’m suddenly happy to discuss my age.

And here’s something worth knowing: You don’t have to be 65 to start taking advantage of age-related discounts. Some begin at 55, others at 60 or 62. Several AARP offers don’t require you to be a senior at all—just a member.

The Next Chapter has put together 33 places and programs offering discounts in Bergen County and beyond, including restaurants, major retailers, museums, movie theaters, transportation services and more.

Some of these savings are surprisingly good. Others won’t change your life, but why pay full price when you don’t have to?

Before you head out: Discounts can change, and some offers depend on location, membership, age, day of the week or other restrictions. We’ve included links to the published offers and official store directories, but participation at individual franchise locations may vary. Always confirm with the business before making a special trip.

We’ll continue updating this guide and adding new discounts as we find them.

Know a Bergen County Senior Discount We Missed?

This list is a starting point, and we’re planning to keep it growing.

We’d especially like to hear about Bergen County’s independent restaurants, neighborhood shops, salons, service businesses and other local establishments that offer age-related discounts.

If you know of one, tell us the business name, town, discount amount, qualifying age and any restrictions. We’ll review the information and add confirmed offers as we update the article.

And if a business doesn’t advertise a senior discount, there’s no harm in asking.

We’re not old. We’re just old enough to know better than paying full price when we don’t have to.

Editor’s note: Last researched and updated October 25, 2026. Discount information is based on published policies from retailers, restaurants, membership organizations, attractions and government agencies. A listing in an official store directory does not independently confirm that an individual location accepts every advertised promotion. Discounts, prices, participation and age requirements can change without notice. Please confirm directly with the business or organization before shopping, dining or traveling. Additional confirmed discounts will be added over time.
