Miles for Migraine Walk/Run Event is September 14th

Bergen County Parks and Nature Walks
The pedestrain path at Saddle River County Park is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists.

Miles for Migraine Walk/Run: Miles for Migraine will host its first 2-mile walk, 5K run and 10K run in Bergen County at Saddle River County Park at the Otto C. Pehle Area in Saddle Brook, New Jersey to encourage patients and other advocates to speak out about the condition, transforming attitudes and improving lives.

This fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research will take place Saturday September 14, 2019 at 9:00 am.

Not just for walkers and runners – everyone is welcome, even those not up for exercise. Consider signing up as an advocate or a volunteer instead. The event is an opportunity to meet others who are dealing with migraine, visit sponsor booths and take part in other activities. Volunteers all receive a free shirt. Kids and adults will learn new information about migraine in a fun scavenger and everyone receives prizes.

Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. households includes someone with migraine, yet migraine is overlooked (and undertreated: there are only 500 certified headache specialists for 39 million sufferers). In addition to the debilitating pain, migraine also carries severe burden of discrimination, negatively impacting communities around the country. Miles for Migraine, a nonprofit organization, has set out to change this stigma by raising public awareness and money for migraine research from the ground up.
