Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israeli Independence Day), from the evening of Wednesday, April 18 through Thursday, April 19, marks the founding of the modern state of Israel in 1948. In Israel, the occasion, which follows Yom Hazikaron (Israel’s Memorial Day for fallen soldiers), is a festive and patriotic celebration of the state’s and individuals’ achievements.
The Active Adults and j.family Ambassadors of the Jewish Community Center of Northern NJ will be celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut throughout the month of April, 2018.
