New Jersey Wind Symphony Presents “Springtime Classics” at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood

Music lovers are invited to an evening of timeless classics and a special premiere performance as the New Jersey Wind Symphony (NJWS) presents “Springtime Classics” on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 8:00 pm at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, NJ.

One of the night’s highlights will be a notable premiere performance of Claude Debussy’s Afternoon of a Faun, arranged by John Philip Sousa and transcribed by NJWS’s own Richard Summers. This adaptation will feature the exceptional artistry of NJWS principal flutist Kristin Bacchiocchi-Stewart, offering a fresh interpretation of Debussy’s iconic impressionist work.

The program will also include beloved orchestral masterpieces, such as:
🎶 Mozart’s Overture to The Magic Flute
🎶 Handel’s Water Music
🎶 James Horner’s Music from Avatar

NJWS also welcomes guest bassoonist Harry Searing, a highly respected performer and educator. Searing has performed with the New York Philharmonic, nearly every other classical organization in the NYC area, and many Broadway shows.
