Women’s History Month Tours at The Hermitage

This unique tour will introduce you to the women who sustained the Hermitage and those who were able to keep it alive under sometimes stressful circumstances.
From domestic responsibilities to legal, educational, and social barriers, and from slavery through emancipation and the rise of the feminist movement, these women were the often-overlooked backbone of the Hermitage.
This fascinating tour will also include two spaces not normally shown on a regular tour; the summer kitchen and a servant’s room.
Tours take place on Saturday, March 21, Sunday, March 22, and Sunday, March 29. Find more information and purchase tickets here. The Hermitage is located at 335 N. Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
