Harvest Homecoming at Historic New Bridge Landing

Celebrate Fall at the Bergen County Historical Society’s Harvest Homecoming on Sunday, October 26, from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Historic New Bridge Landing, 1201 Main Street in River Edge.

The event features:

•  Tours of three 18th-century Jersey-Dutch sandstone houses, including the state historic 1752 Steuben House. 
• New exhibits from the society’s extensive collection including Revolutionary War artifacts.
• Broom making, corn shelling, blacksmithing, and 18th-century craft woodworking demonstrations.
• BCHS interpreters firing up the outdoor bake oven to prepare a selection of apple-themed treats.
• Family activities including scarecrow making, free pumpkin picking and decorating, a taste-testing of a variety of apples, and new this year the Treat Trail. Come in costume and visit each historic house for a special treat.
• Gift shop
• Donuts, hot cider, and other fall refreshments available for purchase inside the tavern.
