Garden Club of Harrington Park Thanksgiving Floral Workshop
Make a fall arrangement that lasts through Thanksgiving using live greenery and faux flowers at the Garden Club of Harrington Park’s “Fall Fresh and Faux” Workshop. The event takes place on Thursday, November 6, at the Community Church, 1 Spring Street in Harrington Park at 7:30 pm. If you want fresh flowers for the holiday, you can swap the faux for fresh later. The Garden Club will provide the container, faux flowers, and greens. Bring greens from your own garden if you can. You’ll need to bring pruners and, if you like, garden gloves.
Gerri Gibney will lead the workshop. Gerri is a life-long, passionate gardener. She founded the Garden Club of Harrington Park and serves as president. She has lectured and led workshops for local organizations and Garden Clubs, including the club’s December programs. Gibney is president of the Harrington Park Historical Society, director on the Advisory Board of the Arts Council of Harrington Park, and a former “In the Garden” columnist for three local newspapers. A Bergen County native, she grew up in Cresskill and lives in Harrington Park.
All are welcome to join in the evening’s fun. There is no fee to attend the workshop, but donations are gladly accepted! Pre-registration is required to insure that there will be plenty of materials for everyone. The cutoff date to reserve your spot is October 30th.
