Diego Hedez is a Cuban-born trumpeter and composer bringing a bold, modern voice to contemporary jazz, Afro-Cuban music, and free improvisation. Born in Remedios, Villa Clara, Diego began his musical journey at just nine years old, later studying at Cuba’s prestigious National School of Arts, where he developed a deep foundation in trumpet, composition, bebop, Cuban rumba, and Afro-Cuban jazz.
His sound is rooted in the rich musical traditions of the Caribbean and Latin America while pushing forward into adventurous, boundary-expanding improvisation.
