Candlelight Holiday Concert at Historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge

Step back in time and enjoy the magic of a Colonial Christmas at the 41st Annual Colonial Christmas Concerts and Tavern Fare, hosted by the Bergen County Historical Society. This holiday tradition takes place on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, at historic New Bridge Landing in River Edge, New Jersey

A Musical Journey to Christmas Past

Enjoy performances in the beautifully decorated, 272-year-old Steuben House, featuring Linda Russell and Companie. Through carols and stories, you’ll be transported to the Yuletides of yesteryear.

Performance Times:

• Saturday: 5:00 PM and 6:45 PM
• Sunday: 3:00 PM and 4:45 PM

Candlelit Stroll & Tavern Fare

Before or after the concert, stroll through the candlelit grounds and visit the Blackhorse Inn (Campbell-Christie House) for a taste of Colonial-inspired dishes, including:

• Shepherd’s Pie
• Soup with Salad and a Biscuit
• Ploughman’s Plate
• English Trifle
• Dutch sweets, cake donuts, and cider

The Inn is open:

• Saturday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 3:30 PM – 7:00 PM

Festive Highlights

• Meet Sinterklaas in the Demarest House for a touch of holiday cheer.
• Shop for unique gifts in the gift shop.  

Event Details

• Concert Admission: $35 for non-members, $28 for BCHS members (plus service fee). Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.
• Tavern Fare: Additional cost.
• Parking: Free on Main Street or at the lot at Hackensack Avenue and Main Street. Accessible via the New Bridge Landing train station on the Pascack Valley Line.
