Zoo Boo at Bergen County Zoo

One of Bergen County’s most popular Halloween traditions is back. Zoo Boo 2026 returns to the Bergen County Zoo for three days of Halloween fun from Friday, October 16 through Sunday, October 18. 

Zoo Boo is a popular choice for families looking for Halloween fun that is festive, family-friendly, and just spooky enough. The zoo will be transformed with Halloween decorations, trick-or-treat stations, and shows.

Families can also take a daytime train ride featuring friendly Halloween-themed scenes. After dark, the train takes a scarier turn with a haunted ride featuring spooky scenes, recommended for older children and brave adults.

• Friday, October 16: 6:00 pm-9:00 pm

• Saturday, October 17: 10:00 am-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm-9:00 pm

Zoo Boo Tickets

There are three separate tickets associated with Zoo Boo:

Zoo Admission: Includes admission to the decorated zoo, trick-or-treat stations, and shows. Zoo admission tickets are sold by hourly arrival time slot and must be purchased in advance online.

Train Ticket: Covers the train ride only and is separate from zoo admission. The daytime train features family-friendly Halloween scenes, while the nighttime train is haunted and includes scarier scenes. Train tickets must be purchased in advance online.

Carousel Ticket: Covers the carousel only and is separate from zoo admission. The carousel is family-friendly. Carousel tickets may be purchased online or in person during the event, with in-person carousel sales cash only.

Everyone age 2 and older needs a ticket. Children under age 2 do not need a ticket.

Zoo admission time slots indicate your arrival time. Train and carousel tickets do not have hourly time slots.

Ticket Sale Dates

Discounted member pre-sale tickets are available through September 27. General public tickets go on sale online beginning September 29.

Tickets are nonrefundable.
