Teen Chess & Mental Wellness Group
September 9 @ 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
This event is a mental wellness group for teens that uses chess to help reduce stress, gain communication skills, and decrease anxiety.
Adolescents will work together in a fun & inclusive environment with support from therapists and youth counselors. Chess has also shown to help reduce symptoms of ADHD & Impulse Control; helping participants work on executive functioning and emotional regulation.
This is a clinical mental health group for teens of all genders, not a competitive chess program. Chess is used to help increase mental wellness in youth. There is a small registration fee, and families may also be able to use insurance.
