“Rise Up Overcoming Challenges and Finding Inner Strength”

The Center for Latino Heritage and Spanish Language Excellence (CLaSE), the Department of Theatre and Dance at Montclair State University, and the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, in partnership with Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE) and the Drew University Theatre Department, present Rise Up, a powerful one-night showcase of original monologues, dance, and music.

Created and performed by Latino middle and high school students and members of the Kichwa community, this bilingual performance uplifts stories of migration, identity, and resilience. Through deeply personal work, these young artists share what it means to overcome and to rise.
