Mark Gross is widely regarded as one of the premier alto saxophonists in modern jazz, known for his commanding tone, soulful expression, and deep roots in the hard bop tradition.

A Baltimore native and graduate of Berklee College of Music, Gross has built an extraordinary career performing and recording alongside some of the most respected names in jazz, including Dave Holland, Delfeayo Marsalis, Nat Adderley, Jimmy Heath, Nancy Wilson, Dizzy Gillespie, Freddie Hubbard, and the Charles Mingus Big Band.
