2026 ReelAbilities Film Festival: “Horsegirls” at Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck

Puffin Cultural Forum and the Teaneck International Film Festival are partnering with the ReelAbilities Film Festival for its 18th annual celebration, featuring an in-person screening of Horsegirls on Friday, April 25 at 7:00 pm, at Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck, New Jersey. Tickets are $10.

Margarita, a 22-year-old autistic woman, navigates early adulthood, her first job, and the uncertainty surrounding her mother’s health. When she discovers the world of competitive hobby horse dancing, what begins as curiosity becomes a lifeline grounded in movement, creativity, and community. As she trains and connects with others who offer encouragement and support, Margarita builds confidence and independence, shaping a future defined more by her own choices than expectations.

All films are presented with open captions, and the venue is fully accessible to mobility devices.
