Paramus Catholic High School students experienced a “Big Time Rush” this week. But their excitement wasn’t a result of their excellent first marking period grades, or a recent sporting event victory, or even the upcoming Thanksgiving break. Theirs was a rush of a different kind, as the popular, “Big Time Rush,” visited Paramus Catholic to play a private concert for PC’s students. Students gathered in the school’s gymnasium at 12:30 on November 22nd, where Big Time Rush performed a set of their most popular songs.

The band is featured on the Nickelodeon network’s hit TV series, Big Time Rush. The series, created by Scott Fellows for Nickelodeon, chronicles the humorous adventures of Kendall Knight, James Diamond, Carlos Garcia, and Logan Mitchell, who are on a mission to become the newest pop sensation.

The concert, sponsored by Walgreens and CBS Radio, was the winning prize of the Walgreens “Show Us Your School Spirit!” contest. To enter, students were required to text or go online to vote for their school from August 2nd through August 22nd. Paramus Catholic was one of ten schools across the U.S. to win the concert.
