Kaplen JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly Launches Community Theater

The Kaplen JCC on the Palisades has just established Palisades Players, an inspirational new home for professional, pre-professional and highly experienced theater artists. As a new community theater serving talent from throughout Northern New Jersey to NYC and Broadway, Palisades Players will showcase quality theatrical events, primarily featuring works that illustrate Jewish culture and tradition and celebrate the work of Jewish playwrights. The goal is to become a growing hub for actors preparing for careers on Broadway that will also draw Broadway audiences to our community, creating a dynamic artistic corridor between the Palisades and Broadway.

JCC Seeking Support from Local Arts Community

To launch the first season, the JCC is seeking support from artists, arts organizers and patrons of the arts who share the JCC’s mission to maintain a thriving theater arts center in our local community. To celebrate its launch, the JCC is planning a major fundraising benefit to take place this November. It will feature vignettes and scenes from shows that span from the early 1900’s to the present that reflect the Jewish experience.
