On Friday, March 18, TeenKula for Karma will host "Teen Idol". A mix of amateur teen artists from the Tri-State area will be performing in a vocal competition at 7:00 pm at the Indian Hills High School Auditorium in Oakland, New Jersey.
Scores of talented singers submitted their auditions on facebook, and 10 finalists have been chosen for the main event on the 18th!
An enthusiastic audience and a panel of professional judges that includes JT Taylor the singer/songwriter of Celebration, Z100's Skeery Jones and TJ the DJ of Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo, dancer and choreographer Jimmy Locust, Craig Neier of Catch a Rising Star NYC will decide who will be the next TeenKula Idol.
The concert-like event is well-suited for "tweens" all the way up to adults. Throughout the night Meadowland, a popular band, and a high energy hip hop dance troupe will perform.

The mission of TeenKula for Karma is to raise awareness and provide support for Kula for Karma, a non-profit organization that brings yoga to so many populations that need healing such as children with autism and developmental disabilities, children and teens with cancer, and at-risk youth.
