2019 Ridgewood Guild Movies in the Park: The Ridgewood Guild will once again host Movies in the Park on Wednesday evenings throughout June, July, and August. Pack a picnic basket, bring the family, and pull up some turf in Memorial Park! Movies begin at approximately 9:00 pm in June and July and about 8:00 pm in August. 2019 Ridgewood Guild Movies in the Park Schedule:
- June 12th: The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) – Classic film noir starring Lana Turner and John Garfield.
- June 26th: The Wizard of Oz (1939) – 80th Anniversary Special Event! Dorothy and her friends travel down the yellow brick road. This fun evening will include a costume and trivia contest, ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s, cookies, popcorn and lots of fun! This special event starts at 7:00 pm, movie begins at 9:00 pm.
- July 10th: Chicago (2002) – Lawyer, Billy Flynn handles the cases of two murderous women, Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, during Chicago’s jazz age. Adapted from the Broadway musical, Chicago is a multi-award winning film starring Richard Gere, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Renee Zellweger.
- July 24th: Sleepless in Seattle (1993) – A recently engaged newswoman (Meg Ryan) becomes obsessed with meeting a grieving widower (Tom Hanks) she heard on a late night radio call-in show.
- August 7th: The Sixth Sense (1999) – A child psychologist (Bruce Willis) tries to help a boy (Haley Joel Osment) who is traumatized by visitations from troubled spirits.
- August 21st: E.T. The Extra Terrestrial – A boy’s close encounter with an alien stranded on earth leads to a unique friendship in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning film.
