As fall approaches, local Bergen County runners, joggers and fitness enthusiasts are looking forward to a busy season of local road races. With Labor Day marking the unofficial end of summer, the following list of 2018 Labor Day weekend Bergen County 5K runs will help you get a jump on the fall running season.
Dumont 5K Hosted by the Dumont Community Group, the Dumont 5K will be held on Saturday, September 1st at 9:30 am at Dumont High School, 101 New Milford Avenue, Dumont. The event also features a 1/2 mile kids sprint beginning at 8:00 am and a 1 1/2 run/walk beginning at 8:30 am. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to Dumont families in need.
Closter 5K The 37th Annual Dom Mirovich Memorial Closter 5K Run/Walk will be held at Memorial Park, 252 Harrington Avenue, Closter on Sunday, September 2nd at 9:30 am with a Kids Fun Run starting at 9:00 am.
Glen Rock 5K The 31st Annual Glen Rock Jaycees Aboretum 5K is Monday, September 3rd at 8:30 am. A Junior Mile/Kids Fun Run starts at 9:15. The event is held at 390 Doremus Avenue, Glen Rock.
