Learn the basics of homebrewing beer step-by-step with award-winning homebrewer David Woods. This Bergen County homebrewing beer event will he held at the Englewood Public Library on Wednesday, January 17, at 7:00 pm in the library’s Mackay Room. This program is free and open to the public. No registration is needed.
The talk will include a lesson on required homebrewing equipment; a review of nice-to-have homebrewing equipment; the steps to make better beer; recipe formulation, and how ingredients change the taste of beer. The talk will end with a Q & A session.
David Woods has been brewing beer since 1999. He began with a Mr. Beer kit and by 2005 won second place in the Belgian Beer category of Brooklyn Brewery’s homebrewing competition. He now brews beer in 10 gallon batches. He has experience with meads, hard cider, and other interesting ingredients.
