For over 25 years\, the festival has offered family-friendly activities that embody the seven principles of Kwanzaa. \nThe event welcomes families who make this free Kwanzaa Family Festival part of their annual celebration. It’s a full day of uplifting programs\, dance and musical performances\, storytelling\, face painting\, arts and crafts\, a candle-lighting ceremony\, a marketplace with one-of-a-kind items from local crafters and artisans\, and more. \nThe Festival takes place at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC)\, 1 Center Street\, in Newark\, New Jersey on Saturday\, December 20\, from 1:00 pm-11:00 pm.
