Marvelous Greens Holiday Workshop in Harrington Park

“Marvelous Greens” is the theme for the annual Garden Club of Harrington Park’s “Make-it & Take-It Workshop” to be conducted by Gerri Gibney on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7:30 pm in the Harrington Park Library located at 10 Herring Street in Harrington Park, New Jersey.

Add Style to Your Arrangement

Gerri will discuss the various greens you can use right from your own garden as well as several design themes you might use for your own creation. One ever-popular style is the "Colonial Williamsburg” theme, a particular favorite of Gerri’s. Abundant with fruit, vegetables, foliage, herbs and dried flowers, the charm of Williamsburg wreaths, swags, and centerpieces has delighted generations of Americans and Gerri will discuss how you can translate this style to your arrangement.

Garden Club to Furnish Basic Supplies

The Garden Club will furnish the basic supplies — plastic containers for centerpieces, fresh greens, floral foam and ribbon. If you have a favorite bowl or container you'd prefer to use, bring it along. If you wish to use fruits in your arrangement, bring them also, plus any personal adornments, do-dads, favorite ribbon, or extra greens from your garden you would like to use or share. You will also need your pruners and gardening gloves. If you plan to make a wreath, bring three coat hangers.
