SUMMARY:Roots of Pop & Rock: A Tribute to the '90s
DESCRIPTION:Bergen Community College sets the stage as their talented Pop/Rock ensemble performs a one night show playing hits from the ’90s with The Roots of Pop & Rock Volume III. \nJoin the ensemble on a journey back in time when alternative rock reshaped mainstream radio and pop music soared to new creative heights. The night will play favorites from Nirvana and Green Day to No Doubt and the Spice Girls to Selena and Shakira. \nWhile the students missed out on playing during the ’90s\, they are excited to display their passion and honed skills. They promise to light up the stage for all attendees\, whether they are re-living the music golden age or experiencing the magic for the first time. Previous installments of the series have delighted audiences with tributes to the greatest songs of the ‘60s through ‘80s.  Volume III closes out the group’s homage to 20th-century popular music on Wednesday\, April 29th at 7:30 p.m. at the college’s Ciccone Theatre in Paramus. \n  Tickets are available at tickets.bergen.edu. Proceeds will go to the BCC Foundation music scholarships\, helping students pursue their education at Bergen\, which offers programs in music performance\, production and business.
