DESCRIPTION:The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission invites residents to its annual Every Day is Earth Day celebration on Saturday\, May 30\, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. \nThe free community event will feature live animal programs\, interactive science demonstrations\, music\, fishing\, environmental exhibits\, vendors\, activities for kids\, and more throughout the day. \nScheduled programs include: \n10:45 am — Snakes N Scales: Strange World of ReptilesSee and touch live snakes\, lizards\, and turtles — local and exotic — including a 5–6 ft boa constrictor. \n12:00 pm — Mad Science: Earth Day Every DayThis interactive 45-minute science show features exciting demonstrations involving fire\, combustion\, and dry ice.  \n1:15 pm — The Wild Life: Bats\, Bats\, BatsNJ’s “Batman\,” Joe D’Angeli\, presents a live bat program exploring the important role bats play in the environment. \n2:00 pm — Tenafly Nature Center: Remarkable RaptorsMeet a live hawk and owl while learning more about birds of prey and their habitats. \nThe event also includes free face painting\, all-day fishing with the Hudson River Fishermen’s Association\, live music by Mark Rust\, honey from Werf’s Bees\, environmental exhibits\, the Sea Turtle Recovery table where you can learn about sea turtle rehabilitation\, the NJ DEP Wildlife Mobile Education Trailer\, and raffles. \nParticipating organizations and vendors include the Bergen 4-H Club\, BCUA\, Board of Recreation\, Bogota Green Team\, Community Gardens\, DPW\, Environmental Commission & Nature Preserve\, Flat Rock Brook Nature Association\, Girl Scouts Daisy Troop\, Grand Falloons\, Hackensack Meridian Hospital\, Hackensack Riverkeeper\, Hudson River Fishermen’s Association\, Key Club\, Leila’s Plants\, Master Gardeners of Bergen County\, Mosaic Lodge\, Mosquito Control\, Mr. Softee\, Neighborhood Compost Team\, NJ DEP Fish & Wildlife\, NJ DEP Wildlife Mobile Education Trailer\, PSE&G\, Sea Turtle Recovery\, Shade Tree Commission\, Sustainable Ridgefield Park\, Teaneck Creek Conservancy\, Veolia\, Wanda Canoe Club\, Watershed Ambassador\, Werf’s Bees \nThe event is free and open to the public and takes place at Riverside Park (Behind the DPW)\, 124 Industrial Avenue in Ridgefield Park\, New Jersey. The program features Francis Poulenc’s Gloria and André Thomas’ Mass: A Celebration of Love and Joy\, conducted by Music Director Michael McCormick. \nThe concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday\, May 30\, 2026\, at West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood\, New Jersey. The evening opens with Poulenc’s Gloria\, a radiant and dynamic work that moves effortlessly between heartfelt lyricism and infectious energy\, featuring soprano soloist Caitlyn Huetz. It is paired with Thomas’ Mass: A Celebration of Love and Joy\, a vibrant and uplifting work infused with gospel\, spiritual\, and jazz influences\, featuring soloists Silky Carter\, soprano\, and George Johnson III\, tenor. \nJoining Ars Musica for this extraordinary performance is the Adelphi Orchestra\, a fully professional ensemble that has been a cornerstone of the New York metropolitan music scene for more than 70 years.
