Bergen Community College Board of Trustees
Sibora Peca

Former Bergen Community College Student Government Association (SGA) president and class of 2018 graduate, Sibora Peca has joined the Bergen Community College Board of Trustees as alumni representative. She began her one-year term after taking the oath of office at the governing panel’s August 7th meeting. Elected by current students, the alumni representative carries full voting rights on the board.

Peca, of Metuchen, held numerous leadership positions while studying natural sciences at Bergen – including terms as president and treasurer of the SGA. Under her guidance, the SGA established a new leadership commons space in the College’s student center, providing an opportunity for student groups to gather, share ideas and collaborate.

Among other pursuits at Bergen, Peca founded the College’s Albanian heritage club, participated in the Latin American student club and served as a STEM club project leader. She now attends Rutgers University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cell biology and neuroscience.
