TOWNSHIP OF WASHINGTON MEMORIAL FIELD PLAYGROUND
ADDRESS: Pascack Road & School Street
DIRECTIONS: Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 168 Washington/Westwood/HoHoKus. It has many shady areas for hot days, though that won’t be much of an issue until the spring. There is also plenty of picnic space in order to accommodate larger groups for play dates. The structure has some nice climbing parts and slides, while there are also some great hills for sledding in the winter.
PARKING: Street parking only.
PICNICKING: A large pavilion with 20+ picnic tables.
CLIMBING: There is a corkscrew pole, monkey bars and a fireman’s pole.
PLAYTHINGS: There is a tic-tac-toe board, a steering wheel and a bridge.

SPORTS: There are fields for baseball, football, and soccer, as well as basketball courts.
SWINGS: Two full-size and two for toddlers.
WALKING PATH: There is a paved walking path around the park.
MAKE A DAY OF IT: Visit the deli section at A&P on your way to the playground and pick up sandwiches for a picnic lunch under the gazebo.
